We have learned of the real estate transaction concerning an important part of Eranos' land property (Casa Shanti), which has also been reported by the press.

The activities of Eranos, in addition to having great development potential, represent a unique feature in the Swiss cultural landscape, with wide resonance also at the international level.

The Moscia property, closely connected to the Foundation's activities, constitutes a very important landscape and cultural heritage, which in our opinion must be protected from any speculation.

In this light, the proposed sale raises some concerns, as well as some perplexity regarding the possibility that the transaction may be authorized by the supervisory authority.

The link between Eranos and the Municipality of Ascona has always been very strong. Also for this reason, the Municipal Council has allocated a significant credit to support the relaunch of the Foundation's activities.

We believe that local public entities and, why not, regional ones, should join forces to safeguard this important historical heritage of undoubted public interest, particularly for Ascona.

In this sense, the Patriciate hereby confirms its willingness to participate in any project or initiative aimed at safeguarding the property and cultural heritage of Eranos.
